Free Participation Prize from Wolfram (Limit of 1200 People)

Hello everyone! We hope you are excited for the upcoming hackathon. Please see a message attached below about a free participation prize from our sponsor Wolfram!

Wolfram Research is pleased to sponsor your event by providing six months of access for 1200 participants to our technology: Wolfram|One!

The latest Wolfram technology stack makes it possible for you to develop and deploy useful applications in minutes.   In the Wolfram Cloud or on local hardware, Wolfram Language is the ultimate hackathon power tool. With its revolutionary approach of building as much as possible into the language—and automating programming and deployment—Wolfram Language lets you take big ideas and turn them into reality in the space of a hackathon.   Wolfram Language is an easy to learn, versatile and powerful programming language, allowing you to program anything from physics simulations to web forms to digital art to AI and ML applications quickly and easily.   Alongside your access to Wolfram|One, you will also receive the Wolfram API, which allows you to connect to the massive computable database that powers Wolfram|Alpha.

If you utilize the Wolfram Language in your project and post your project on Wolfram Community, you will be eligible for a $500 scholarship to one of our research-based summer programs if you apply and are offered a place.

Accessing the Technology

For complimentary access to our development platform and the Wolfram API, just click here:   https://account.wolfram.com/redeem/qzMEGAHackCA325

This URL will take you to a sign-in page and prompt you to log in using your Wolfram ID. If you don't already have a Wolfram ID, you'll be prompted to create one using an active email address. Once logged in, you will see in the Downloads section which platforms of the software you have access to, with their accompanying activation keys. Please download the desktop version to your machine, boot up the application and use the associated activation key when prompted. This will grant you full access for six months from your activation date.

When you access Wolfram|One in the cloud for the first time, you can create a new notebook or load a pre-made Things to Try live notebook, which is designed to guide you through neat things you can immediately compute in the Wolfram Language.
If you’re new to using Wolfram Language, there are lots of free resources to learn. You can check out the Elementary Introduction to Wolfram Language or the Fast Introduction for Programmers, or if you prefer a more interactive experience, we recommend taking the Creative Computation course on Wolfram U to get up to speed. You’ll find lots of other resources on Wolfram U for specific development tasks, like finance, blockchain and cryptographymachine learning and LLMsmodeling and simulations; and web, app and game development. There are also short videos on how to use notebooks in the cloud and on desktop

You can use Wolfram|One to create instant web apps and APIs, or to deploy to mobile. The Wolfram Language is also bundled on the Raspberry Pi, where you can connect directly to hardware, including Arduino etc.

The fastest way to get an API up and running is detailed in the extensive Documentation Center available to you alongside your notebook: simply click the section in the documentation labeled Cloud and Deployment and select Instant APIs to access a handy how-to guide to help get you started.

Scholarship Awards

If you use Wolfram Language in your project, you will be eligible for a $500 scholarship to attend one of our research-based summer programs if your program application is successful. In order to qualify, you need to use Wolfram Language as a core component of your project. Unfortunately, we are unable to offer this scholarship to participants who only use the Wolfram API. This scholarship does not guarantee entry into our summer programs, which are highly competitive.
Wolfram offers several research-based educational programs for students interested in computational thinking, programming with the Wolfram Language, math, machine learning, innovative technology, scientific research, and project publication. Our programs include:

Wolfram Middle School Summer Camp for Girls ages 11-14 (July 27th-August 1st, 2025)
https://education.wolfram.com/middle-school-camp/

Wolfram High School Summer Research Program for secondary students ages 17 and under (June 25th-July 12th 2025)

If you use the Wolfram Language in your project, please email carolc@wolfram.com with the subject line "Q25 Hack Project" within 30 days of the conclusion of your event with a link to your project in the body of the message. I will send you instructions on how to obtain eligibility for a $500 scholarship to a 2025 Wolfram Summer Program.

Good luck, and happy hacking!
